Whack the Thief is a brilliant and ridiculous killing game from the Whack Your series. This time, you must defend your property against an evil gangster.
The protagonist is playing on his video game console at the start of the game when he is rudely interrupted by a burglar breaking into his house. How could he, right? Anyway, the animation will pause at a certain point to allow you to select a household item for the child to use. You do this by moving your mouse pointer over the scene and clicking on a red-highlighted object. That's it, you're done – at least for this round, and now the fun begins.
When the scenario restarts, you can choose another item to use on the bad guy. You are not prohibited from selecting something you have previously chosen, but it will not add to your completion counter. The counter is located in the lower right corner of the screen and displays the number of unique animations you've triggered during your playthrough. Finding everything without a guide isn't difficult because the objects are highlighted when hovered over with a mouse. Smaller items may be more difficult to locate because their hot spots are more easily overlooked.
The game is more than just a button-mashing game where you can only hit a guy in the face. There are at least ten ways to kill the bad guy, and not all of them are obvious. Every weapon has its own cut scene, and no two items are even remotely similar. The flashlight and badminton racket, for example, appear to be melee weapons, but only the former is used as such. If you enjoy good action choreography with a dash of graphic violence, you'll enjoy the scenes in this film.
