Minesweeper

Description

Minesweeper is a game in which mines are hidden in a square grid. Safe squares have numbers that indicate how many mines have touched the square.

To begin playing Minesweeper, you must select a square at random. Your first square will never be a mine, but it is impossible to predict whether it will be blank or numbered. However, it is best to start near the centre of the board, because if you start near a corner, you are more likely to be stuck with no suitable moves early in the game. However, because you're being timed, it's best to just pick a square and get started. You will be able to make more informed decisions after clicking on your first square.

If you flag all of the mines that are adjacent to a number, chording on the number unlocks the remaining squares. Chording occurs when you simultaneously press both mouse buttons. This will save you a lot of time! However, if you place the correct number of flags on the incorrect squares, chording will cause the mines to explode.

How to play

Click or tap on a square to reveal the number of mines in the adjacent squares.
